The Around French Island Catamaran Challenge is an off-the beach catamaran event like no other: competitors are given a seven-hour limit to circumnavigate French Island in the middle of Westernport Bay, dealing with tides, fluky winds, commercial shipping channels, shoals, hazards, all on top of nutrition, hydration, mental resilience and physical exhaustion. Albury Wodonga Sailing Club father and daughter sailors, Mark Sullivan and Millie Sullivan joined this event in 2026.
